Born to a family of lawyers, Atty. Roberto B. Mabalot Jr. started his practice of law in 2012. He joined his father’s law firm but two years after, he started his own firm with his two friends.  

Atty. Mabalot completed his Bachelor of Science major in Psychology degree at the Saint Louis University in 2006. He also took and passed the August 2007 Licensure Examinations for Teachers. He finished his Bachelor of Laws in Saint Louis University in 2011 and passed the 2011 bar exams held that year. He finished his Master of Laws in San Beda College, Mendiola. He also obtained a Graduate Diploma in English and Hong Kong Law which was jointly offered by the University of Hong Kong’s School of Professional and Continuing Education as the course operator, and Manchester Metropolitan University as the qualification awarding institution. He was awarded the graduate diploma with commendation in May 2022.

As a student, he held several leadership positions across several organizations. He was elected as Grand Chancellor in the Discipuli Legis Universitatis Sancti Aloysii from 2009-2010 and as National President for the Association of Law Students of the Philippines from 2010 – 2011. He also participated and earned numerous accolades for his performance in debate competitions and the like.

He is currently on leave as a senior partner in the MABALOT Law Office where he practiced and engaged in general fields of law. He heard and decided cases involving law enforcement in his position as Board Member of the People’s Law Enforcement Board in Baguio City. He was a Board of Director and Treasurer of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines Baguio-Benguet Chapter.

At present, he is working in the government service as a Foreign Trade Service Officer in the Department of Trade and Industry of the Philippines.
